11 Sha`ban 1420 A.H., 19 November 1999
Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that
the Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
"Every servant of Allah who fasts for a day, for the sake of Allah, will find his face farther
from fire (or Hell) to the extent of distance to be covered in seventy years."

Lessons Deduced:
1.Observing Fast, even for only one day, is a virtuous act that will protect its doer from the
Hell-Fire.
2. Allah will make one who observes Fast away from Hell for a distance to be covered in
seventy years.
