Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri (Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had said:
The world is green and verdant. Allah appointed you His vicegerents in it so that He may examine you through your action. So beware of the beguilements of the world and the women. The first trial of the Banu Isra'il was through women.
