Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
That who strives for the widow and the needy is like that who fights in the way of Allah.
He also said:
He is like one who stands up (for prayer) without rest, and as one who fasts without break.

(Reported by Al-Bukhari)

Lessons Deduced:
- Whoever strives to help the widow and the needy is just like the one who fights in the way of Allah, because this needs patience and struggle against the vain desires of the soul and the devil.
- The hadith exhorts Muslims to alleviate the distress of the meek and the humble and take care of them.
- Worship includes every good deed.
